October 2008

Hi all those that like to know what I'm doing in my spare time!

The caravan has been painted all white now and you have seen how nice the inside is now it is complete last month. There are a few miner things to do but we have now bought the big yellow Ford Transit diesel van to pull it and I have already started fitting that out with a bed as you can see from the photo below. I will soon get a company to fit a tow-bar to it so we can get the caravan to the licence authority and get the paperwork done for that too.

News of my walking friends,
first I say hi to Roland who this month had an argument with a circular saw and has damaged his fingers!!!! Get well soon Roland, at our age we should let the young play with such toys but we are slow to learn chuckle. Roland is thinking of doing some more of the North camino. I still think this is one of the best.
One dear friend has been struggling to drain off all the water from her little cottage in freezing cold Denmark! Brrrr!!!! She then will fly to see her charming old mother before Christmas. I wish her a good fun time there and lots of good luck. I was sorry to learn she was unfortunate in paying for a flight then the company went broke! So do be careful fellow travellers this happens in times like this!! Better book late and pay a little more I guess.

My own plans are still undecided for next Camino but I hope to come over if I can next year. It would be nice to meet up with some of you if it does happen. This is my new tent that I shall carry, very small but bigger than the one I built last year and I hope more waterproof

One friend is looking into going to Iran next spring!!!! A very brave move I think but if she goes, good luck, have fun! Others are still studying to improve their pay packets I wish them luck with their exams. I left school at 15 so have difficulty to understand how you can still study now the years have flown, well done anyway and hope you have time to go on camino next year too. We hope to get at least a week away down south in November just to try the new van out so that will be a break before Christmas. Don't forget next year the caravan will be ready for anyone who wishes to come over for a holiday here. There will be a big Paella and fun days for those that do!!!! Now we will soon be thinking of Christmas, oh dear how those years fly!!! I must get back to work I have a my Ford mobile caravan to build!!!! here is a sneak video preview of next months
Bye Abrazos
Michael
