July 2010

Hi dear friends, Peregrinos and rellies

It has been some time since I placed anything on these Mike Downunder pages, mainly because of the Camino holiday (if you could call it that chuckle). To find out what happened on that memorable trip you must follow the blog Mozarabe. Most of you will be doing this, those who haven't yet, you might just look on the left, of this blog find Mozarabe when that comes up tap June under blog archive or scroll to the bottom and look for older posts, and the start of the photos in Perth, Madrid, then Cordoba to Alcaracejos May the 10th.
I had a very memorable trip it was very hard but I became a tourist in the last weeks and enjoyed looking at Spain in a different light.

Back home here I took things easy for a couple of weeks then we went to my son Johns where I had the most horrible cold, virus, flu or what ever you like to call it. In fact I have only felt it has gone in this last week.
I have seem to have got out of the habit of doing my normal 12 k a day walk! I do need to get myself really fit again but I am getting there. I will put up a few photos here of that river walk just to encourage those that live far off and say one day they will visit us here in Perth.

Maisie and I went out to a Christmas in July party at the bowls club which was good. Why Christmas some may ask? Well we are in the winter here and being brought up in places where Christmas is in the coldest months of the year it seems the right time to celebrate it, so we get two

This has been a very hectic month and I am going to cheat again and ask you to look at Maisie's version of events, which is on the 'Our News' page of our web site. chuckle.

I am going to write some more Mozarabe so,
by for now
abrazos
Michael
