Hi Friends Relies and Peregrinos
As you might notice December and January I spent a lot of time painting pictures. Here are two examples! There was one more small attempt and I have just started another of my grandson Benjamin, no photo of that as yet! The dancers were performing and photographed in Madrid in front of the palace just before I left for home, this paining is now framed with a gold frame. The other has only just been finished and shows the marble paved streets of Oveido in the wet! It was mostly wet when I was there this time chuckle. Now the streets are coverd with snow I am told. There is a cover on that manhole as you can see in the detail.
Both these paintings look a little brighter in real life, as my photos don't do them credit. They also look much better framed
Last month I meant to write about the (Cuadonga camino) I made last year, but somehow never got around to it. Painting affects you like that! Me anyway! I will try to do it this week but I have lost all my notes under paint and canvases in my little work room chuckle. If I cant find them I will put up the photos with a few notes that I do remember.
The normal news Maisie has put on the web page this month. Australia day was good fun and the fireworks are set off from pontoons in the centre of the river so all is reflected in the water too.
A Cyclone has been working its way down the coast and we have had some bad weather but have survived it well as yet! The humid heat has made walking hazardous. I have learnt to be more careful on those hot humid days! Painting can be hazardous too when working in a small room with the windows shut to keep out the heat, as I work in oils and the turpentine smell gets a bit strong!!! Mixing walking in the heat in the morning, then painting in the afternoon is quite something!!!! Good job I don’t smoke chuckle.
I'll see if I can find a few photos taken while walking
. Maisie and I hope now to go for a short break to Tasmania for our golden wedding anniversary so I doubt if I shall go on Camino this year! So dear friends a few tales of any that you make might make the Friend's blog more interesting over the next month or two
Buy for now
Abrazos
Michael
