November 2010

Hi Friends Relies and Peregrinos
This month has been very hecticfor us. A lot of time was spent taking out the furniture, desks, wardrobe and computer from Maisies Computer room and as she spends her time playing keyboards and yukes, Guitar and music, there was much to move. The bowls means, bags, boxes, and uniforms and dress clothes, then of course the computer, the printer, and as this also runs the phone there was an electricians nightmare of wires. But all had to go some where! That somewhere was our bedroom where we connected it all up again after tipping the beds against the wall to make room, so then we had to sleep in the caravan but when the temperature went into 39 c we slept on the lounge floor under the air-conditioning! In Maisies room the carpet had to go and a new vinyl floor bought and laid, and ceiling and walls painted white! Then them we had to replace the lot all back in to the room again and connect it all and get it to work there once more!!!
I had started oil painting pictures from my trips on Camino this month once again, so the little time I had, was spent finishing or starting new paintings. As I am so short of time I will just show you the paintings.
Left is a Madrid plaza, Plaza Mayor. This was the last one to be painted. A terrible downpour that night as I came into the Square late and everyone ducked for cover but the light was fantastic and the waiters carried on as if it was normal to have the gargoyles squirting huge jets of water from above onto the umbrellas. As if the rain itself wasn't enough! The other was a moment as I was walking in Portugal it was like going back in time! All are in oil paint but I think the best so far is the Dances in Oviedo. This is framed now and looks great with a plain gold frame like El peregrino I am waiting for a similar frame for Pasaia also in the rain well Merry Christmas to you all December will be another hectic month!!! Have fun and hope your December weather will be gentle and kind
Abrazos
Michael
